π Labour Law Penalties
Penalties as per Federal Decree by Law No. 33 of 2021
Article (60) amended by Federal Decree-Law No. (9) of 2024 β fines increased from 50,000β200,000 AED to 100,000β1,000,000 AED; clauses on fictitious employment added.

| 2. Employing or recruiting a Worker and failing to provide him with employment. | ||

If this results in the employee receiving benefits from any governmental body, the court shall order the Employer to reimburse the value of financial incentives. | Settlement: min 50% of fine + reimbursement | The Ministry may settle the crime under Article 60(2) at the Employer's request, for not less than 50% of the minimum fine, plus reimbursement of all financial incentives received by fictitiously appointed employees.
